Prepare the sauce by placing the sauce ingredients in a small bowl or glass measuring cup and whisking together until smooth
1/3 cup warm water, 3 tbsp rice vinegar, 3 tbsp soy sauce or tamari, 1 tbsp light brown sugar, 1 tsp cornstarch or arrowroot powder
Slice the large onion and chop the garlic (if using fresh garlic)
1 large yellow onion, 1 tbsp garlic
In a sauté pan, sauté sliced onion in the oil of your choice until it's lightly browned

Add garlic and frozen peppers and continue to sauté
1 bag frozen multi-colored peppers, 1 tbsp garlic
Add sauce mixture, turn down to simmer, and continue to sauté.
Meanwhile cut sausage links lengthwise and then into sections.
1 package Field Roast vegan sausage
In a separate pan, sauté the sausage links in a small amount of oil until the links are slightly browned.
1 tbsp olive oil
Add the browned sausage into the pan with the veggies and continue to simmer until the peppers and onions are softened to your liking.
